Kongahyan

Kongahyan is being played by drawing a bow across one or more string.[1] Kongahyan is same like rebab, which can be found in Java, Bali and Sunda Islands.[1] This musical instrument is being played for the shows in those tribes.[1] The size of kongahyan is smaller than tehyan and sukong.[1]

History

Nowadays, Kongahyan is adapted from Chinese musical instrument.[2] Chinese people has a musical instrument which called erhu.[3] Erhu was spread out to Eurasia.[4]

Material

Used to Kongahyan was made bamboo and until 50s, replaced by coconut shell.[2] The function is to produce harder sound.[2]
