Kranthi Kumar (born Talasila Kranthi Kumar) was an Indian film, director, screenwriter and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema.[1]

He won two Filmfare Awards and four Nandi Awards. In 1985, he directed Sravanthi, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu that year.[2] In 1991, he directed Seetharamaiah Gari Manavaralu, which was premiered in the Indian panorama section, at the 1991 International Film Festival of India.[3]

In 2001 he directed 9 Nelalu, premiered retrospective at the Toronto International Film Festival.[4] He has garnered the National Film Award, four state Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. He died in 2003.[5]
