Krunoslav "Kruno" Simon (born June 24, 1985) is a Croatian professional basketball player for EA7 Emporio Armani Milano of the Italian LBA and the EuroLeague. He also represents the Croatian national basketball team internationally.

Professional career

After spending his youth years in KK Maksimir and KK Zrinjevac, Simon joined KK Zagreb in 1998, and he played there until 2012, when he signed with Unicaja Málaga of the Spanish League. On June 25, 2013, Simon signed a two-year deal with Lokomotiv Kuban.[1]

On July 22, 2015, Simon signed a one-year contract with the Italian club EA7 Emporio Armani Milano.[2] On July 11, 2016, he signed a two-year contract extension with Milano.[3]

International career

Simon debuted for the senior Croatian national basketball team at the EuroBasket 2011. He also represented Croatia at the EuroBasket 2013, the 2014 FIBA World Cup, and the EuroBasket 2015,[4] where they were eliminated in the eighth finals by the Czech Republic.[5] During the EuroBasket 2015, Simon was arguably the best player of the Croatian team, as he averaged 13.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, over 6 tournament games, while also shooting 54.2% from the field.[6]

He also played at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
