Ladderback chair

A ladderback chair is a chair with a high back and traditionally four legs. It gets its name from the horizontal spindles that serve as the back support on them that are reminiscent of a ladder. It was designed in the middle ages and was very popular in American colonial homes. A ladderback is also a common chair in the typical American home. [1]
