Lajos Dorkota (born July 19, 1958)[1] is a Hungarian politician, member of the National Assembly (MP) for Dunaújváros (Fejér County Constituency III) from 2010 to 2013.[2] He also served as MP from Fejér County Regional List between 1998 and 2010.
He was a member of the Constitutional, Judicial and Standing Orders Committee from May 14, 2010 to February 14, 2011.[2] He was a director of a government office from January 1, 2011 to June 30, 2013.[2]
Dorkota was appointed President of the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority on July 1, 2013,[3] as a result he resigned from his parliamentary seat.[4] Due to a change in the law no one was appointed to replace him as MP, explaining with the upcoming national election.[5]
