Damijan Kovačič better known by his stage name Ledeni, also known as Denile, is a rapper and producer from Ljubljana, Slovenia. He is the first Trap music artist to come from Slovenia and the first Cloud rap artist to come from former Yugoslavia. The name Ledeni translates to Icey in all south Slavic languages.

Career

Ledeni started recording demo songs as a teenager and in 2008 released his first mixtape Fixtape vol 1. In 2009 he was featured on the "Spacedout" compilation with other Slovene artist and had the first trap song in Slovene language, this song was his breakthrough on radio and television, also Radio Val 202 labeled him as the future of Slovenian hip hop. In 2010, he released another mixtape Fixtape vol.2, where he experimented with new sounds and rapping styles. In 2012, he was signed to Menart Records and released a few singles and videos on that label like "Lep dan" and "En lajf". In 2013, he continued as an independent artist, creating the trap music scene in Slovenia and became a regular act on trap music events in Ljubljana.The singles and videos like Kvartovc, Peit dol niži, Top were hosted on several radio and television programs and the single JVCD was featured on Radio Študent 2013 Overall best music of the year.His videos on YouTube have reached over half a million views for now. In 2014, he released his first single in English "Sunny" and has dropped 7 singles and videos in English since then, gaining a worldwide audience.[1][2] [3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]
