Lail or Lehal is the family name of the Jat people in India and Pakistan. It is also used among their diaspora. The surname is also found in United Kingdom, United States, Germany and Romania.,[1][2]
Notable people
- Dr. Gurpreet Singh Lehal is a professor at Punjabi University, Patiala, and is credited with designing Punjabi language software that enables users to utilise the language with computers. Lehal also developed software to convert English to both Punjabi and Urdu, as well as vice versa.[3][4]
