Kepi and Kat
Kepi and Kat is a DJ/producer and singer/songwriter duo based in San Francisco, California, and primarily active in the West Coast dance club and outdoor-festival scene.
Profile and background
Kepi and Kat have headlined in clubs around the USA in such places as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Seattle and Portland, and have performed at numerous high-profile outdoor festivals such as the Love Parade (now Love Fest) in San Francisco, Los Angeles' cult-favorite Moontribe and Nevada’s now legendary Burning Man Festival. Their fans voted for them in the San Francisco Bay Guardian Best of the Bay 2006 and 2007, selecting them as "Best Electronic Music Act".
Kepi and Kat have performed internationally in the dance music capital of Ibiza, Spain, as well as the Diversity Festival on the Sunshine Coast of Canada. They had highly coveted spots at the Winter Music Conference in Miami for two years consecutively, playing showcases for Thump Radio and XM Satellite Radio, among others. Kepi has mixes featured on the monthly show “Thump Funk” on XM Satellite’s “The Move”.
In 2005, Kepi and Kat released their first EP Limelight which immediately charted on the Balance Record Pool and features remixes from some of San Francisco's biggest DJ names. Their track "Limelight" was featured in the Xbox 360 video game Perfect Dark Zero, in addition to being included on the limited-edition DVD and CD-soundtrack for the award-winning game.
