Liparis tunicatus, or the kelp snailfish, is a fish from the genus Liparis.[1] It can be found in marine, demersal, and brackish water environments at a depth range from zero to six hundred twenty meters.[1] The kelp snailfish lives in the Arctic and Northwest Atlantic Ocean among kelp.[1] A bottom feeder, it eats crustaceans.[1]

Description

The fish grows to a maximum length of sixteen centimeters (in total length).[1] It has small dark spots and can have pale stripes.[2] Liparis tunicatus has a small gill opening.[2]
