List of Big Brother Canada houseguests (season 3)
The third season of the Canadian reality television series Big Brother features sixteen new contestants. The competition based series sees the contestants, known as HouseGuests, competing for a $100,000 grand prize, among other luxuries.[1] Each week, the group competes in competition to determine who will have power in the house for the week; each week, one HouseGuest is voted out of the house, until only two remain.[2] The previously evicted HouseGuests will then determine which of the two remaining players will win the grand prize.[3]
Ashleigh
Ashleigh Wood is a 21-year-old who is unemployed from Calgary, Alberta.[4] She has six brothers and one sister, and describes herself as a "tomboy" due to having so many brothers.[4] She claims to dislike people who "are full of themselves", and believes "having no filter" will hinder her game. She and Zach have a showmance and an alliance with Pilar. Jordan and Kevin were originally in the alliance, but were both evicted.[4] Ashleigh won her first HOH competition in Week 8, and won 3 consecutive vetoes in a row in the Final 6, Final 5, and Final 4. She became the fourth person in Big Brother history, and first woman, to achieve this feat. She is also the first houseguest to ever use the veto on themself in three consecutive weeks.
Bobby
Bobby Hlad is a 27-year-old rock climbing instructor from Oakville, Ontario.[5] Bobby describes himself as "crazy, spontaneous, and fun", and he enjoys yoga and surfing.[5] He works for his family's business as well, and has admitted to going to a swingers resort with a girlfriend.[5] On Day 49, Bobby was evicted by a 7-0 vote, becoming the 3rd member of the jury.
Brittnee
Brittnee Blair is a 25-year-old plus-sized model from Calgary, Alberta.[6] Brittnee describes herself as "funny, outgoing, and energetic."[6] She lived in New York City for a period of time, and states she does not like "high maintenance" people.[6] She hopes to not have to "backstab" anyone in the house, and wants to play a clean game.[6] If you count her as Head of Household in Week 1, she is tied for most HoH wins with 4.
In Week 8, Canada voted Brittnee and Sarah as the Have-Nots. However, they were really voting for two people to compete for a super power that was used to remove one nominee from the block, or two if the holder wished. Brittnee won the power and used the save power on both herself and Godfrey. She nominated Bruno and Zach in their places.
Bruno
Bruno Ielo is a 31-year-old construction worker from Ottawa, Ontario.[7] He has been a fan of the show since it premiered in the United States in 2000, and has aspired to be a contestant since.[7] He claims he does not like bullying, and cannot stand "arrogance or ignorance."[7] He is a black belt in karate, and describes himself as a "world class gamer."[7] Bruno has won 1 Head of Household competition and 2 Veto Competitions. After Brittnee nominated him using her super power in Week 8, Bruno was evicted by a 4-0 vote.
Godfrey
Godfrey Mangwiza is a 22-year-old psychology student from Toronto, Ontario.[8] He is enrolled at the University of Toronto.[8] Godfrey is originally from Zimbabwe, and came to Canada at the age of sixteen.[8] He says that gossiping irritates him, and he is not afraid to confront people in the house.[8] He loves cats, and admits to having nine cats at one point.[8] He narrowly escaped eviction in Week 5, he survived by a 5-4 vote. Godfrey has also won 1 Veto competition.
Graig
Graig Merritt (born July 2, 1978) is a 37-year-old professional baseball coach and scout from Pitt Meadows, British Columbia.[9] He applied for the second series after his players urged him to, though a car accident disabled him from continuing with the casting process.[9] He describes himself as "passionate, emotional, and real", and enjoys doing yoga.[9] He plans to lie about his age and occupation in the house.[9] Graig was evicted in Week 3 by a 10-0 vote.
Johnny
Johnny Colatruglio is a 26-year-old IT project manager from Winnipeg, Manitoba.[10] He is a self-proclaimed superfan of the show, even naming his dog Veto.[10] He believes he will get along well with his fellow HouseGuests, though claims he will clash with "dumb blondes" and messy people.[10] He is the only openly gay HouseGuest this season.[10] He was evicted in Week 4 by a 9-0 vote.
Jordan
Jordan Parhar is a 21-year-old student from Cloverdale, British Columbia.[11] Jordan acknowledges similarities between himself and former contestant Peter Brown, but states that his strategy is to act like McLovin and secretly be like Frank Underwood.[11] He describes himself as impulsive, and believes this will cause him to have conflict with others.[11] He has been a fan of the series since 2001, and believes he will be the smartest person in the house.[11] In Week 5, Jordan was blindsided by his showmance partner Sindy and was evicted by a 5-4 vote.
Kevin
Kevin Martin is a 22-year-old professional poker player from Calgary, Alberta.[12] He describes Big Brother as the "ultimate game of mental warfare", and plans to throw competitions and "sit on the sidelines" in the game.[12] He claims he will lie to the other HouseGuests about his occupation, and that he will be able to easily manipulate them.[12] After winning 2 HOH competitions and 2 Veto competitions, Kevin was evicted in Week 7's Triple Eviction. He received 0 votes to be saved.
Naeha
Naeha Sareen is a 29-year-old chiropractor and entrepreneur from Toronto, Ontario.[13] She claims she is always looking for a challenge, and cites herself as a huge fan of the show.[13] She plans to have a strong social game, though hopes to be a strong competitor.[13] Naeha likes rap music, and states that her biggest fear is being evicted as she wants to win.[13] She was the victim of the Instant Eviction in Week 3 and was evicted by a vote of 9-2.
Pilar
Pilar Nemer is a 22-year-old student from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.[14] Pilar is originally from Mexico.[14] She has nine siblings, with five brothers and four sisters.[14] She wants to be on the show for the experience, and describes herself as competitive.[14] She states she doesn't like boring people, or people who take life too seriously.[14] She was in a showmance with Kevin until he was evicted, and was evicted herself in the Final 5 Double Eviction after Brittnee cast her tie breaking vote to evict Pilar.
Risha
Patricia "Risha" Denner is a 41-year-old waitress from Toronto, Ontario.[15] She plans to use her age and life experience to advance in the game.[15] She says she can be sarcastic at times, and believes she will get along with others who are like that.[15] She claims she will not like a HouseGuest who has "bad gas" in the house.[15] She entered the House on Day 1. Later that day, she received five nominations from her fellow HouseGuests, the second most, and was nominated for eviction alongside Sindy. She was the first HouseGuest to be evicted on Day 7.[16]
Sarah
Sarah Hanlon is a 27-year-old vapor lounge "hemployee" from Toronto, Ontario.[17] She describes herself as a "superfan" of the series, and believes her love for the show will help her in the game.[17] Sarah calls herself a grown-up version of Lisa Simpson.[17] She thinks she can get along with everyone in the house, but does not like bossy people.[17] Sarah claims to believe she is a witch as she can read people well.[17]
In Week 8, when her life was on the line, Sarah won her first Power of Veto competition of the season. In that same week, Canada voted Brittnee and Sarah as the Have-Nots. However, they were really voting for two people to compete for a super power that was used to remove one nominee from the block, or two if the holder wished. Sarah did not win the power but was still safe from nomination because she won the Power of Veto.
Sarah became the eventual winner of Big Brother Canada Season 3.
Sindy
Sindy Nguyen is a 25-year-old assistant cruise director and pageant queen from Huntsville, Ontario.[18] She claims that her biggest pet peeve is when people spell her name as "Cindy" rather than Sindy.[18] She refrains from using profanity, as she states someone told her she was too pretty to cuss.[18] She described herself as competitive, and cited this as a reason for auditioning for the show.[18] Sindy hopes to play a strong social game, and describes herself as "sassy and honest."[18] She entered the House on Day 1 and was immediately nominated by eight of her fellow Houseguests, the most of anyone. This meant that she would face the first eviction, alongside Risha. Later that day, she won the Power of Veto Competition. She chose to remove herself from the block and was given the power to name her own replacement nominee. She nominated Pilar in her place.
After Kevin won the Veto in Week 2, Sindy was named the replacement nominee and was evicted by a vote of 12-0. However, she returned to the game in Week 5 after winning the right to return against the four other evicted houseguests. In Week 6, Sindy was re-evicted from the house by a vote of 8-0.
Willow
Willow MacDonald is a 26-year-old sales and marketing representative from Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.[19] She describes herself as a tomboy, and feels she will get along better with quiet and introverted people as they are the opposite of her.[19] She states she has been a fan of the series for ten years, but hopes to convince the other HouseGuests she has little knowledge of the game.[19] She is most looking forward to the traditions of the series, such as being a Have-Not and the competitions.[19] After Bruno used his Power of Veto on Zach during the Triple Eviction, Willow was named the replacement nominee. She was evicted just moments later, as she only received 2 votes to be saved.
Zach
Zachary "Zach" Oleynik is a 22-year-old student from Regina, Saskatchewan.[20] He plays on his school's football team, and thinks this could help his game in the house.[20] He feels that he can relate to different types of people, thus will have a strong social game.[20] Zach says he is most excited for the money at the end, as he believes he can win the series.[20] Zach was evicted on Day 63 by a 3-0.
