Agatha 'Ag' Penrose is played by Lynda Baron, and first appeared on 9 November 2010 and left on 12 December 2010. Ag returned for one episode on 15 December 2011, before departing. Auntie Ag first appeared on 9 December 2010. It became known that she isn't liked by the female members of the Hollins family; Imogen and Karen but is very popular with her nephew, Rob and great nephew Jack. She frequently attacks Karen and Immie with her acid tongue and harsh put-downs, but all they can do is bite their tongues as Rob and Ag are very close. On the other hand, Ag openly favourites the men in the family, which rirals Karen and Imogen. She was only seen for three episodes and she left on 12 December to return to Harrogate, where she lives by her sister, Mary and niece, Megan. She is open about her disapproval of Rob's father, Billy and often mentions how bad a father he was to Rob. She returned on 15 December to spend Christmas with the Hollins' contrary to Karen's plans.

Julia helps Barry by offering him and place in her garden at her house, which he accepts. In October 2012, Barry re-appears, expecting to see Julia.[4] However, Julia left to Wales, so Heston Carter (Owen Brennan) house sits Julia's house and is surprised to find Barry in the garden.[4] Barry is ill, so Heston persuades Barry to go to the hospital and get checked, which he does.[4]
