| Female celebrity Shen Meimei and her ex-boyfriend's intimate pictures were exposed by a tabloid. Meimei and her manager, Victor looked for lawyer Luo Youwei to help them press charges against the tabloid and Jiabao. When the police went to Jiabao's house to investigate, he ran away due to a drug problem. On his escape, Jiabao was knocked down by lawyer Qiu Jianzhi's car. Jianzhi gallantly volunteers to represent Jiabao but discovers that Victor may be the one who released the intimate pictures. | ||

| Jinying wants to divorce Fazhi after 50 years of marriage which got those around them puzzled. Youwei's disciple, Huiqi tries to find out the reason behind it. Jinying told Huiqi that Fazhi and herself have been at odds during their marriage and she does not wish to carry on deceiving him. Huiqi sends Jinying to the old folks home for her volunteer work. She saw that Jinying pays special attention to one of the home residents there. | ||

| Huiqi discovers that the shower head is spoilt when she tries to take a shower. She asked Lijuan to get someone to fix it and Lijuan got Jianzhi to do it. During the process when Jianzhi was fixing the shower, the two of them got into a quarrel and Huiqi slipped and fell towards Jianzhi. The two accidentally kissed and was embarrassed by this turn of event. | ||

| Youwei told Guodong that under no special reason, Jinying shall get half of Fazhi's possessions if they divorce. Guodong wants to know the real reason Jinying is asking for the divorce. Youwei found out that Jinying did so because of her first lover of 50 years ago, Zhongliang. Guodong is displeased that his inheritance may fall into an outsider's hands and started the process to transfer the money elsewhere. | ||

| Jianzhi and Haojun discussed on how they can deal with Guodong. Haojun mentioned that before Fazhi died, he left behind a will but that was taken away by Guodong. Jianzhi wants Guodong to hand over the will but Guodong denied having the possession of the will. He secretly burnt the will when Qiuping tried to stop him. | ||

Huiqi clarified to the police that Qianyi is mentally unstable, thereby relieving Youwei of any responsibility. | ||

Youwei pretended to be depressed and got Huiqi to stay back to accompany him. In the end, Huiqi missed her date with Jianzhi. | ||

| When Jianzhi went to visit Jinying, she told him that Zhongliang told her that he saw Youwei falling down himself and even used stones to smash his own foot. He was not pushed down by Qianyi as he claimed. Jianzhi told Huiqi about this and warned her about Youwei's ill intentions but Huiqi brushed it aside and the two of them got into a quarrel. | ||

He even got Jianzhi to splash water on him to create more misunderstanding between Huiqi and Jianzhi. | ||

| Jianzhi is a suspect in the murder of Donghai. In the process of gathering evidence, Huiqi discovers that Donghai already harbours the intention of suicide. She and Youwei traced the source of the sleeping pills to the drug pusher, Hong-ge and suspect that he may be linked. They were discovered by Hong-ge and Youwei got stabbed as a result. Huiqi panicked and Youwei seized the opportunity to propose to her. | ||

| Jianzhi defended himself in court through the various accusations thrown to him by the prosecutor. The prosecutor pointed out that Jianzhi’s fingerprints were found on the car and traces of his shirt fibres were found on Donghai’s body to which Jianzhi rebutted point by point leaving the prosecutor with no case. Weiqiang brought in Hong-ge as a witness which he testified that Donghai did indeed buy sleeping pills from him before. His testimonial acquitted Jianzhi from any suspicion of murdering Donghai. | ||

| Dr Yu testified in court that Qianyi did not suffer from mental disorder. In fact, her condition was a result of medication and instigation by someone. Huiqi pointed out that Dr Yu had misdiagnosed a case before and that resulted in a tragedy and thus her professional opinion should be doubted. | ||

| Jianzhi decides to seek out Youwei's accomplice, Nurse Chen as a witness. However, Nurse Chen and her son went missing and Jianzhi had to find them through her son's Facebook account. He managed to convince her to appear as a witness but she was knocked down by a car when she returned to her own house. | ||

| Jianzhi suspects foul play in Nurse Chen's death and asked Weiqiang to help investigate. Youwei thinks that it must be Jianzhi's doing that he got summoned by the police. He got the gangsters to frame Jianzhi by planting illegal drugs on him. Jianzhi got mad when he found out what Youwei had done and went to the legal firm to give Youwei a good beating. | ||

| Dongyang revealed that he is in fact Donghai and he killed his brother Dongyang in order to get the insurance payout. He wanted to elope with Le Er but she turned him down. Jianzhi went after the gangster who framed Weiqiang but he got away instead. Youwei is frustrated by the extortion by the gangster and Le Er appears at this time expressing she wants to work with him... | ||

| Jianzhi's lawyer license was suspended and he was distraught. However, he did not give up and requested the law society to allow him to complete Qianyi and her father's case. If he failed to win the case, he would be willing to be punished and suspended for 3 years. His request was eventually accepted by the law society. However, Qianyi's case took a turn for the worst as an expert from the States, who was supposed to testify for Qianyi, suddenly got a stroke and was unable to come, resulting in Jianzhi losing the case. After the case, Hui Qi found out Youwei was connected to the drug addict who supposedly stashed drugs in Jianzhi's father's car. Hui Qi became suspicious of Youwei and soon found a walkie-talkie in Qianyi's room, and realised that Youwei indeed was harassing Qianyi and keeping things from her. Youwei receives a call from Le'er, who instructs him to kill Donghai (posing as Dongyang). They drive to a secluded area where Youwei kills him and lights his car on fire, along with Donghai. | ||

| Huiqi exposed Youwei's true intentions and got in the police but Youwei managed to get away. Huiqi locked herself up at home and refused to see anyone. Jianzhi got the spare key from Lijuan and found Huiqi unconscious in her room. Le Er got jealous when she saw how concerned Jianzhi was towards Huiqi. | ||

| Youwei's body was found in an abandoned car and his death is very similar to Donghai. Initial investigation reveals the cause of death as suicide. The police suspect that Huiqi is the murderer and Huiqi was shocked. She got Jianzhi as her defending lawyer and wants Jianzhi to clear her name. Jianzhi found that all the evidences are unfavourable towards Huiqi. In the meantime, Huiqi thinks she is being framed by Le Er. | ||

| Jianzhi decides to wed Le Er and extended an invitation to Jinying. Jinying told Jianzhi secretly that when she was staying with Le Er, she overheard Donghai's voice one day but Le Er denied it. Now it is revealed that Dongyang and Donghai switched identities which even made Jinying more suspicious as a result. Jianzhi starts to suspect Le Er. | ||
