The album has also sold over three million copies in the United States,[3] and five million copies worldwide.[4]
Ciara's second album, Ciara: The Evolution, was released on December 5, 2006.[5] The album's single, "Get Up", reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100, while the three other singles from the album – "Promise", "Like a Boy", and "Can't Leave 'em Alone" – as well as "Get Up" broke the top ten on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.[2] The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart with first week sales of over 325,000 copies and was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America only five weeks after its release,[6][7]
