• The Perfect Storm (2000) is set in 1991, around the time when Hurricane Grace struck the Atlantic region of Canada and the northeastern United States.

• On Thursday We Leave for Home (1963), from the science-fiction anthology series The Twilight Zone (1959) - the story begins with a flashback to 1991.

Literature

• The Perfect Storm (1997) by Sebastian Junger about the Andrea Gail disaster, on which the 2000 film was adapted from (see Film above)

Computer and video games

• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (Arcade, 1991): the final stage in the game, called "Technodrome", takes place in 1991.
