History

LoginRadius was started in 2012 by two friends Deepak Gupta and Rakesh Soni as a social login widget. In an interview, Soni said the duo started the company after recognizing the hassles of registration on websites and their negative effects of conversion rates.[3] The company later evolved into a Customer Identity Management platform of which Social Login is now a part.

In 2014, LoginRadius secured $1.3m in financing[4] from a syndicate of Canada’s leading venture capital firms: the Accelerate Fund, Yaletown Venture Partners, Real Ventures, and Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).

The company is also backed by a number of angel investors and has received funding from the National Resource Council Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC – IRAP) to continue developing innovative, business-focused, online platforms. LoginRadius was named as one of Canada’s top 25 up-and-coming ICT companies for 2014 by the leading technology consultants the Branham Group. Techvibes ranked LoginRadius in April 2014 as one of Canada’s top 20[6] hottest and most promising tech start-ups.[5]
