Lowdham railway station serves the village of Lowdham in Nottinghamshire, England. It is on the Nottingham to Lincoln Line which was engineered by George Stephenson and opened by the Midland Railway on 3 August 1846. The buildings were designed by Thomas Chambers Hine.

East Midlands Trains serve this station with trains between Newark Castle and Matlock via Nottingham.

East Midlands Trains also run a single train from London St Pancras International to Lincoln via Nottingham and the Midland Main Line Monday to Saturday.

The buildings originally comprised a station building and station master's house combined (pictured), and, on the opposite side of the road, a crossing keeper's hut. The level crossing adjacent to the station is still in operation, but the main building passed into private ownership in 1990. It has since been extensively renovated by the owners, and many original features restored.

Services

Trains call hourly each way throughout the day (with extras at peak times). These mostly run between Newark Castle & Matlock via Derby, but some Lincoln to Nottingham & Leicester trains also call at peak times and in the evenings. On Sundays, trains only call from mid-afternoon onwards and run between Lincoln & Nottingham.[1]
