Lucy Elizabeth Fallon (born 13 November 1995)[3] is an English actress. She is best known for her role as Bethany Platt, the teenage daughter of Sarah-Louise Platt in the ITV soap Coronation Street.

Personal life

Fallon is the daughter of Andrew (b. 1955) and Angela Fallon (née Ellis, b. 1960). She attended Blackpool Sixth Form College, where she achieved distinction star and two distinctions in her BTEC Extended Diploma Performing Arts.[2]

Career

On 29 January 2015, it was announced that Fallon had been cast as fourteen year old Bethany Platt in Coronation Street. Bethany had previously been played by child actors Mia Cookson and Amy & Emily Walton between 2000 and 2007.[4] Fallon was nineteen when she was cast as Bethany. Speaking of her casting, Fallon commented: "Walking onto the set was surreal and nerve wrecking, but everyone has been really welcoming and I am thrilled to have been given this great opportunity."[5] Fallon was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2015 Inside Soap Awards for her role as Bethany.[6]
