Luke David Gambin (born 16 March 1993) is an English-born Maltese footballer who plays as a midfielder for Barnet.

Career

Gambin was born in Sutton, London, England.^[3] He started his career in the youth team of AFC Wimbledon and joined Barnet in the summer of 2010, on a two-year apprenticeship. He made his debut for the Bees on 28 April 2012, in a 4–0 win over his old club AFC Wimbledon, coming on as a late substitute for Scott McGleish.^[4] In November 2012, Gambin joined Hendon on loan. He scored his first goal for Barnet on 9 March 2013 at home to Morecambe.^[5]

In August 2016, Barnet accepted a bid in excess of £100,000 from Leyton Orient for Gambin, but he decided to stay with the Bees.^[6]

International career

Gambin is of Maltese descent and joined the Malta squad for training in June 2015.^[7] His application for Maltese citizenship was successful and he was called up to the national team in May 2016.^[8] He made his debut when he started in a friendly against the Czech Republic on 27 May 2016.^[9]
