Luke John Getsy (born February 16, 1984) is an American football coach and former quarterback. He is currently the wide receiver coach for the Green Bay Packers. He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks football team and wide receivers coach for the Western Michigan Broncos football team.

Early years

Getsy was a four year starting quarterback at Steel Valley High School.

College career

Getsy attended the University of Pittsburgh on a football scholarship. After spending two seasons with the Panthers, Getsy transferred to the University of Akron where he led the Zips to its first ever conference championship. He also led Akron to its first ever bowl game, the Motor City Bowl at Ford Field in Detroit. Getsy finished his career breaking 24 school records in two years as the Zips starter.

Professionel career

Getsy signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers prior to the 2007 season.

Coaching career

Getsy became the offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and academic coordinator at West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2009. In 2011 he was hired as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under the new staff of head coach Curt Cignetti at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.[1]

Getsy was named the wide receivers coach under Western Michigan's new head coach P. J. Fleck.

On February 7, 2014, he was named the offensive quality control coach of the Green Bay Packers.[2] He has newly been appointed the Wide Receivers coach of the Packers for the 2016 NFL season.
