Lumière was the first online fashion magazine.[1]

History

Lumière was founded by Stig Harder in 1995. It was mentioned by Vogue (UK), Elle,[2] The Guardian,[3] The New York Times[4] and Entertainment Weekly.[5]

It was relaunched on September 10, 2012. The editor was Stephen Todd. Two issues have appeared.[6]

Awards and Distinctions

Lumière was nominated for a Webby Award in 1999[7] and again in 2002.[8]

Lumière was included in an exhibition called "Mixing Messages: Graphic Design in Contemporary Culture" at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum between September 17, 1996 and February 16, 1997.[9]
