Madison High School is a secondary school located in Marshall NC. The current Principal is Wesley Floyd and the Assistant Principals are Jeff Fleckenstein and Tina Thorpe. Madison High School was opened in the Fall of 1974. It consolidated the five high schools previously located at Hot Springs, Laurel, Mars Hill, Marshall, and Spring Creek. The senior class of 1975 was the first class to attend Madison High School. The school is located just off of US Highway 25/70 near Marshall.

Location
Madison High School and Madison County Schools' Central Office are located on 54 acres of land owned by the Madison County Board of Education. Aside from the main building, the campus includes: an Alternative Learning Program facility, an external Masonry classroom and shop, a Softball Field, and O.E. Roberts Stadium featuring artificial turf, an Olympic-size track, and a field house.
Population
Madison High has decreased in size since it opened in 1974 from over 800 students to just over 625 students. Its small size allows teachers and administrators to know children instead of numbers of children.
