Mae-Hia (Thai: แม่เหียะ) is a town located in Mueang Chiang Mai District, in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, which covers the complete same-named subdistrict. As of 2014 the subdistrict and thus the town has a total population of 18,546 people.[1]
History
- 1995 - Mae Hia subdistrict administrative organization was established as the local government for the whole subdistrict.[2]
- 2007 - The organization was upgraded to subdistrict-municipality (Thesaban tambon) level.
- 2011 - The organization was upgraded to town-municipality (Thesaban mueang) level,.[3]
