Maggie Toulouse Oliver

Maggie Toulouse Oliver is the incoming Secretary of State of New Mexico.

Toulouse Oliver is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She studied political science at the University of New Mexico, earning a master's degree. She worked as the New Mexico state director for the League of Conservation Voters.[1]

Toulouse Oliver served as the county clerk of Bernalillo County, New Mexico, beginning in 2007. She ran for Secretary of State of New Mexico against Republican incumbent Dianna Duran, but lost. In the November 2016 special election to fill the remainder of Duran's term following her resignation, Oliver defeated Republican Nora Espinoza.[1][2][3]
