Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles
The Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) is based in Augusta, Maine's capital. Branch offices are located throughout the state. It was formerly called the Maine Department of Motor Vehicles but was changed in 2007. The BMV is controlled by the Secretary of State.
