Manarat Dhaka International College (MDIC) is a trust-owned school in Gulshan, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It offers British Curriculum from play-group to advanced level, offering IGCSE O-Level and GCE A-Level examinations, held under the University of London External System and the Edexcel Examination Board. Manarat strives to build homegrown future leaders. It emphasizes moral teachings and etiquette more than textbook knowledge. Manarat encourages its students to learn Arabic from a very young age. It also stresses Islamic teachings and inspire students to strengthen their iman.

Students of Manarat have always excelled in both O and A Level exams. They have been awarded by the Edexcel and Cambridge International Examinations for their high achievements in the respective examining boards.

The current principal of the school is Brigadier General (retired) Md Mehdi Hassan Pramanik, PSG and the school's Vice-Principal is Munshi Md. Harun-Ar-Rashid

Campus

Manarat's campus is located in Gulshan, Plot - CEN 16, Road - 104[1] with 1600 active students and no less than 89 teaching staff. The school holds an assembly on two mornings. Manarat has laboratories with up-to-date equipment for the standards of O Level and A Level examinations. It has a computer lab. It also has a multimedia language lab which is currently closed. Manarat has a library to provide students with reading materials. Manarat also offers indoor sports such as: table tennis and carom in its common room.

Extra curricular activities

The Manarat Association of Debaters has hosted and participated in many competitions at home and abroad.[2] This accomplished debating association has promoted Bangladesh by becoming runners-up in the SAARC Debate Championship in New Delhi in 2008. Members of the debating team also represented Bangladesh in the 1st World's Championship Debate Competition in 2006 at Wales, United Kingdom and in the 2nd World's Championship Debate Competition in Seoul, South Korea.

Manarat also has its own community service club, the Manarat Welfare Student's Association (MSWA). It organizes various charitable works including fundraising campaigns for the poor and sick, winter clothes distributions, fund raising for disaster victims such as AILA and SIDR. The MSWA also raised funds for Gaza victims and presented them to the Palestinian ambassador.

Former students of the school are established professionals and businessmen who are well regarded in their respective fields of expertise. They have come together to form Manarat Ex Students' Association (MESA) which is administered and led by students of 1993-1995 batch. MESA organises social and cultural gatherings of former students, outings, trips and sports activities from time to time.
