Marcus Anthony (born June 28, 1984) is an American professional wrestler who is currently signed to a contract with Ohio Valley Wrestling. He was signed to a developmental contract with WWE wrestling under the ring name Lincoln Broderick.

Professional wrestling career

Heartland Wrestling Association (2010–2011)

Anthony began working regularly for the Ohio-based promotion Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) in 2010. He made his debut competing in a Battle Royal on September 25, 2010.[1] After making his debut Anthony continued to work for the promotion till September 2011.

Ohio Valley Wrestling (2011–present)

Shortly after leaving Heartland Wrestling Anthony was signed to a contract with Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). He made is debut facing OVW trainer Nick Dinsmore at OVW TV Taping for October 1, 2011.[2] In December 2011, Anthony formed a team with Jessie Godderz and Rudy Switchblade calling themselves The Mascagni Family.[3] On January 11, 2012, Anthony and Godderz defeated Johnny Spade and Shiloh Jonze to win the OVW Southern Tag Team Championships,[4] they lost the titles seven days after winning in them in a rematch against Spade and Jonze. On February 1, 2012, Anthony faced Johnny Spade in a loser leaves town match, in which he lost leading to is departure from OVW. After leaving OVW, he signed a developmental contract with the WWE competing as Lincoln Broderick.[5] After only being in the company's developmental program for only four months he was released from his contact. Anthony returned to Ohio Valley Wrestling in May 2013. He quickly returned to action joining forces with Rob Terry winning the 2013 Nightmare Cup Tag Team Tournament and earning a shot for OVW Southern Tag Team Championships.[6] On December 25, 2013, Marcus Anthony defeated Olivencia for the title. However, referee reverted the decision because Anthony didn't stop to apply his submission maneuver and Olivencia retained the title.[7] However, on January 4, 2014, Anthony defeated Olivencia for the title.[8] On May 10, 2014, Anthony Lost the OVW Heavyweight Championship when he was defeated by former champion Jamin Olivencia. Anthony won the title again on July 5, 2014, after he defeated Olivencia in a Last Man Standing match.[9] On August 2 at the Saturday night special Marcus Anthony lost the world title to Melvin Maximus.[10]
