Mario Gerla

Mario Gerla (born 1943) is an Italian computer scientist and engineer, the Distinguished Professor, Jonathan B. Postel Chair and Chair of the Department of Computer Science of University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),[1] and also a published author. He has co-authored over 10 books and is held in 1,259 libraries, the highest held book is held in 264 libraries worldwide.[2] He attended and graduated with an engineering degree from Polytechnic University of Milan and also received his masters from UCLA, he then joined the UCLA faculty in 1976. At UCLA, he is the director of Center for Autonomous Intelligent Networks and also Network Research Lab.[1]
