Marton-le-Moor is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is very near the A1 road motorway and 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Ripon.
According to the 2001 UK census, Marton-le-Moor parish had a population of 174,[1] increasing to 182 in the 2011 Census.[2]
Village affairs are conducted by the Parish Council.[3] Social functions are held regularly and organised by the Village Meeting Room committee which converted the Blacksmith shop to be used as a local community hall.
The Parish Council is going to turn the unused part of St Mary's churchyard into a community garden to benefit all sectors of the community, especially older people and mothers with toddlers.[3]
