Maya Diab

Maya Diab (Arabic: مايا دياب or مايا دياب  Egyptian pronunciation: [ˈmaya ˈdiab]; born 12 November 1982 in Fayoum, Cairo, Egypt) is a music artist, entertainer, film and TV personality, fashion icon, entrepreneur and humanitarian. Maya Diab has been called one of the most powerful and celebrated celebrities in entertainment throughout the Middle East. Over recent years Maya Diab has been considered Egypt's phenomena and was named the trend setter in the middle east. She has been awarded with numerous prestigious Fashion and Beauty awards for her contribution to the fashion and beauty industry. During her career she has often said to be the most photographed person, appearing on the cover of various high-profile magazines throughout the Middle East and Asia.

Early life

Maya Diab was born to Egyptian people father Henry Diab and a mother from Zahle, to a Christian family. Diab majored in Radio and TV media after receiving her university degree; she worked on several TV programs. She is a single mother with one daughter, Kay Nasser. نبيلة

Career

2009 - Series career

Diab was a lead actress in an Egyptian series in Ramadan 2009 called "Kalam Neswan"

MTV Lebanon

Diab hosted the entertainment show on MTV Lebanon "Heik Minghanne" for four seasons, it has proved to be one of the most successful and highly watched TV programs of all time in the Middle East. It has broken many social and cultural barriers – providing entertainment to the masses.

Ennahar Tv Egypt

Diab also hosted the Egyptian game show Deal or no Deal on Ennahar Tv.

Sony Nex Camera Tv Commercial

Sony featured Diab in a national advertising campaign singing one of her songs "Tawel Balak"

Ziad El Rahbani Collaboration

Diab collaborated closely with the great Ziad Rahbani on several plays in which she was a lead actress and singer. They are currently producing a full album together.

Fusion with Jason Derulo

Maya was featured in a fusion song with the international star Jason Derulo. They both sang Talk To Me / غني لعيوني in one of the most successful music television series Coke Studio (Middle East). The song got more than 2.5M views on Youtube.

#MyMaya first album

Maya Diab released her very first album and named it #MyMaya. It was distributed on Youtube, Itunes, Anghami, in addition to all digital applications in all countries of the world. Maya has adopted new ways to market her album; she was the first to post a video of herself chatting with her friends and using her own emojis. #MyMaya album consists of nine songs ranging from the Lebanese and Egyptian dialect.

Fusion with Bahaa El Sultan

Maya was featured for the second time in Coke Studio (Middle East) but this time, with the famous Egyptian Bahaa Sultan. They made two fusion songs together Fina Nghayer (Lebanese) and El Donia /الدنيا (Egyptian).

MBC 1 - MBC Masr

Maya Diab hosted a live game show on MBC 1 (Middle East) and MBC MASR called Is2al El A'arab (Ask The Arabs).
