Maya Graf (born 28 February, 1962 in Sissach, Switzerland) is a Swiss politician and former President of the National Council of Switzerland. In 2012, she became the first member of the Green Party to be elected to that position.
Graf was first elected to the National Council in 2001 and has been re-elected ever since.[1] She was elected President of the National Council in 2012 with 173 out of 189 delegates voting in her favour. [2]
Graf is married and has two children.[3] She is the daughter of former SVP politician Fritz Graf.[4] Her occupation is organic farmer, but she trained as a social worker.
