Medin Zhega

Medin Zhega was an Albanian football striker, who played in the 1970s. He was born in Shkodra, Albania on 31 January 1946 and died on 12 June 2012 in Tirana.[1] Firstly he played for Vllaznia the football team of Shkodra, then he went to Dinamo Tirana and he concluded his career at the team of Vllaznia. During his career he won several championships in Albania.[2] At 19 years old he started playing for the Albania. Medin Zhega quit playing at the age of 32. He is one of the most famous Albanian football players and one of the best-known coaches.

Following his playing career, Zhega became a manager and led the Albania during the 2000-2001 period.[3]

He got the honor award "Master of Work" given by the president of Albania.

Medin was from Shkodër, northern part of Albania.
