Mesomys occultus, also known as Tufted-tailed Spiny Tree-rat[1][2] or Furtive Spiny Tree Rat,[3] is a spiny rat species from South America. It is known from Amazonas, northwestern Brazil, where it is found in tropical rainforest. The species is arboreal.[1]
