Michelle M. DuBois is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. She was elected in November 2014 [1][2] to represent the 10th Plymouth District (West Bridgewater, the east side of Brockton, and Precinct 1 of East Bridgewater) and was sworn in on January 7, 2015. She serves on the Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities; the Committee on Public Service; the Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight; and the Committee on Bonding, Capital Expenditures and State Assets.
Early life and career
DuBois was born and raised in Brockton and received her bachelor's degree from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams. She was employed in the non-profit sector up until her successful state election, including the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans, Pine Street Inn, St. Francis House, Courageous Sailing Center and at South Coastal Counties Legal Services, where she was Director of Development. DuBois served as Brockton's Ward 6 City Councilor for five terms before being elected to the House of Representatives.
Michelle lives with her husband Adam Swinson in Brockton.
