The Michigan Shore Railroad (reporting mark MS) is a short line railroad owned by RailAmerica that operates 52 miles (84 km) of track,[1] connecting Fremont to CSX Transportation at West Olive, Michigan, United States.
The railroad began operations in 1990, and was purchased by RailAmerica in 2000.[1]
The railroad's traffic comes mainly from sand and chemical products. The MS hauled around 6,300 carloads in 2008.[1]
