Reverend Miles Oscar Noll (March 30, 1862 - November 27, 1905) was a clergyman, educator, and American football coach in the United States.

Biography

He was born on March 30, 1862 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania to Hannah Ritter and John Riem Noll. He attended Franklin & Marshall College and graduated around 1885.[1] He married Katherine Merkle Follmer June 25, 1891 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

Coaching career

Noll was the first head college football coach for the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He held that position for the 1887 season.[2] His coaching record at Franklin & Marshall was 0 wins and 2 losses. As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, this ranks him #39 at Franklin & Marshall in total wins and #39 at the school in winning percentage (.000).[3]

Clergy

Reverend Noll became a pastor and president of the Potomac Synod of the Reformed Church, living in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.[4]

He died in 1905 in Pennsylvania.
