Millennium Broadway
The Millennium Broadway Hotel is a Millennium & Copthorne Hotels in Times Square, New York City, located at on West 44th Street with an entry way to the West 45th street The hotel is adjacent to the Times Square. The hotel is located next to the historic Hudson Theatre. The hotel is the 18th Largest Hotel in New York City with 750 guest rooms and suites. The hotel also has 33 Conference rooms.
History
The hotel was originally opened in 1992 as the Macklowe Hotel and was owned and operated by Harry B. Macklowe until 1995. The hotel was purchased by Millennium & Copthorne Hotels in 1995. The Hudson Theatre is owned by the parent corporation of the hotel, based in London, and publicly trades on the stock market. The Hudson Theatre is being redeveloped into a theatre, and holds historic value including housing the Original NBC TV show, "Tonight with Steve Allen" for two and a half years.
