Millie Bobby Brown (born 19 February 2004) is an English actress. She is known for her breakout role as Eleven in the Netflix science fiction horror series Stranger Things.[3]

Early life

Brown was born in Marbella, to English parents Kelly and Robert Brown, a real estate agent.[4] She has an older sister, Paige, an older brother, Charlie, and a younger sister, Ava.[4] The family moved back to their native England when Brown was four years old, residing in Bournemouth, before emigrating to Orlando four years later.[4][5] She now spends the majority of her time living in Los Angeles.[2] Brown has stated that she is an avid Liverpool F.C. supporter, like both her brother and father.[6]

Career

In 2013, Brown made her acting debut as a guest star in the ABC fantasy drama series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, a spin-off of Once Upon a Time, portraying the role of Young Alice. In 2014, Brown had a starring role in the BBC America paranormal drama-thriller series Intruders as Madison O'Donnell.[7] She then made guest appearances in the CBS police procedural drama NCIS, the ABC sitcom Modern Family, and the ABC medical drama series Grey's Anatomy.

In 2016, Brown came to worldwide prominence for her role as Eleven in the Netflix science fiction drama series Stranger Things.[8] In November 2016, she starred in the music video for Sigma's single "Find Me", featuring Birdy.[9]
