Ming Prefecture (Hebei)
Mingzhou or Ming Prefecture (洺州) was a zhou (prefecture) in imperial China seated in modern Yongnian County in Hebei, China. It existed (intermittently) from 578 to 1278.
Geography
The administrative region of Mingzhou in the Tang dynasty is under the administration of modern Handan in southern Hebei. It probably includes parts of modern:
- Handan
- Handan County
- Qiu County
- Feixiang County
- Wu'an City
- Jize County
- Yongnian County
- Quzhou County
