The Loetoe monarch (Carterornis pileatus castus) is a bird in the Monarchidae family endemic to Indonesia. It is found on the Tanimbar Islands.
Taxonomy and systematics
This subspecies was formerly placed in the genus Monarcha until moved to Carterornis in 2009.[1] While the Loetoe monarch is a classified by most authorities to be a subspecies of the white-naped monarch, some consider it to be a separate species.
