Mount Beck

Mount Beck (71°2′S 67°1′E / 71.033°S 67.017°E / -71.033; 67.017Coordinates: 71°2′S 67°1′E / 71.033°S 67.017°E / -71.033; 67.017) is a partly snow-covered mountain 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) southwest of Taylor Platform in the Prince Charles Mountains. Plotted from ANARE (Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions) air photos taken in 1956 and 1960. Named by Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) for J.W. Beck, assistant cook at Mawson Station in 1964 and storeman at Wilkes Station in 1966.
