Mount Hope is a community in Hamilton Ontario and former police village.[1]

The John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport and the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum are located in Mount Hope.

Informally, the center of town is commonly considered to be the stop sign at the corner of Airport Road and Homestead Drive. In recent times, new subdivisions have been built in the community. Mount Hope also has many farms in the area.Hamilton Sod and Vanderwoude Sod are two of the major farms in the surrounding area.

Mount Hope Public School offers a program from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 and is located on Airport Road.

Some of the businesses and services in Mount Hope include a post office, a variety store, a gas station, a couple of automotive repair garages (Homestead Automotive), Mount Hope United Church, a pizzeria, and an ice-cream shop.

The 779 Black Knight Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets calls Mount Hope home. Situated behind the public library, the squadron has been in operation since 1969.

Mount Hope also has a Hamilton Public Library branch.
