Mount Suribachi (Antarctica)
Mount Suribachi (69°29′S 39°38′E / 69.483°S 39.633°E, Jpn: 摺鉢山, Suribachiyama or Suribatiyama) is a conical hill in the south-central portion of Skarvsnes Foreland on the coast of Queen Maud Land. Mapped from surveys and air photos by the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE), 1957-62. The name, meaning "conical mountain," was given by JARE Headquarters in 1973.
