Muhaimin Iskandar (born in Jombang, East Java, 24 September 1966) has been the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia[1] since 22 October 2009. He also holds the position of the chairman of the National Awakening Party. He graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada with a bachelor in politics and received a masters in communication from Universitas Indonesia.[2][3]

He is married to Rustini Murtadho and has three children.

Muhaimin Iskandar has worked as a teacher at Pesantren Denanyar, Jombang; as the Head of the Division of the Institute of Public Opinion Research, Jakarta; as the Head of Research and Development of the Detik Tabloid; and as the Vice Chairman of the People's Representative Council for two periods (1999–2004 and 2004–2009).
