Synopsis

The movie began with a brief description of how and when the Korean War started and China became involved. Then it moves on to the scene at a railway station where supplies are being distributed to the volunteer soldiers (Art Troupe) led by Captain Meng (Wang Luodan) and the arrival of a train load of another group of volunteer soldiers (9th Company) led by Sun Beichuan (Liu Ye). Next, the train leaves for the battle front in North Korea with both groups of volunteer soldiers. Before reaching the front at the railway bridge, the train with the soldiers are ambushed by the Americans and follow on with more fighting scenes. In the midst of all the shootings, bombings, there are moments of comradeship and some romance. The movie ends with a message dedicating the movie to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the People's Republic of China.
