The NWA Supreme United States Championship was created on February 27, 2016[1] A Battle royal was held on this night with many of NWA Supreme's top stars with the final two participants facing off later in the night in a singles match to determine the inaugural champion. These two competitors were "Custom Made" Eric Draven (professional wrestler) and "Big Time" Josh Lewis (professional wrestler). Josh Lewis won this match becoming the first ever NWA Supreme United States Champion. After defending the title successfully over the next two months, he would lose the title to "Vivacious" Van Martigan on May 6, 2016 at NWA Supreme Supershine Showdown 2016.
Josh Lewis (professional wrestler) won the title back less than a month later on May 28, 2016 by causing Van Martigan to pass out in the torture rack, giving Lewis his second title reign. Josh Lewis has since defended his title against many competitors at all of NWA Supreme's events[2]
Notable title defenses have occurred against Dru Skillz, Joey Owens, and Johnny Justice. Lewis defended his title against Johnny Justice in a match where Lewis' NWA Supreme Heavyweight Championship was also on the line. In this match, Lewis won the NWA Mid-America Heavyweight Championship, becoming the first person in history to hold 3 championships in NWA Supreme.
