Nagesh Thiraiyarangam (English: Nagesh Theatre) is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Mohamad Issack, starring Aari and Ashna Zaveri in lead roles with 70's heroine Latha and senior actress Sithara playing important roles.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Summary

The film revolves around the Nagesh Theatre that was converted into a wedding hall in T.Nagar, Chennai. Aari plays a Real estate broker named Nagesh in this film, while heroine Ashna Zaveri plays a girl who sells books from her home.[7]

Development

Issack, who created a Guinness World Record earlier with Agadam was fascinated by the legacy of Nagesh Theatre which was later converted into a marriage hall.[8] He weaved a story of a Real estate agent getting suffocated in real estate business. Transindia Media & Entertainment Private Limited decided to bankroll the project. Sri was signed as the music director while M. S. Prabhu and LVK Dass was signed as cinematographer and editor respectively.[9][10] Umadevi was signed as one among the lyricists of the film[11] along with Thamarai, Rokesh and newcomers Jagan Set & Murugan Manthiram.

Casting

Aari was cast as the leading man along with comedian Kaali Venkat.[12] Actress Ashna Zaveri, who made her debut with Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham was signed to play the leading lady[13][14] while Pranitha Subhash as well as Nikki Galrani was also considered for the same role.[15] The leading heroine of 70's Latha also have been signed to play a pivotal role.[7][16] Mumbai model Masoom and senior actress Sithara are the new addition to the cast. Interestingly veteran actress Bhanupriya was also considered for the role signed by Sithara[17][18][19]
