Nathaniel Chisholm

Nathaniel Chisholm (born July 22, 1963, Tuskegee, Alabama) is an American engineer who has conducted research into nanomaterials and structural nanocomposites.

His work includes the development of SiC nanophased carbon epoxy composite materials, intended for use in space vehicles and structural grade components for advanced aircraft. He is the author of the study Synthesis, Manufacturing, and Characterization of Nano-Phased Carbon/Epoxy Composites,[1]

He is currently the Deputy Director of Engineering and Production for Roads & Drainage Division Public Works in DeKalb County, Alabama.

Awards and recognition

Chisholm is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and serves as the Vice President of Metro Atlanta American Public Works Association (APWA). In 1999-2005, he was awarded a fellowship from the National Science Foundation, and in 2004 received an award from the Sigma Xi for achievements in material science and engineering.
