Nawab Haider Naqvi

Syed Nawab Haider Naqvi is a noted Pakistani economist and scholar.

Educational qualifications

Naqvi was born in Maraith, in 1935. He migrated to Karachi, Pakistan in 1950.

He received his master's degree from Yale University in 1961 and his doctorate from Princeton University in 1966. He was a post-doctoral research fellow at Harvard University from 1969–1970.[1] Naqvi has served as the director of the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, and, until recently, senior economic advisor for the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) and Rector (Designate) of Kausar University of Sciences, Islamabad.
