Noble Society of Celts

The Noble Society of Celts, founded in 1993, is an American hereditary society of persons with "Celtic roots" and interests, who are of noble and/or royal title and "gentle birth", and who have come together in a search for, and celebration of, things Celtic.

There are three classes of membership: Class I membership is hereditary; you must be a direct descendant of "Celtic royal blood". Each member is able to designate one heir to inherit their membership. Classes II and III are non-hereditary. Further discussions of class qualifications are found on the site. Members use post nominals depending on their hereditary rank such as:

Life Members of Celtic Royal Descent: (Name), LMNSC; Members of Celtic Royal Descent: (Name), NSC; Members of Celtic Noble Descent: (Name), NC

"The Awen" is the official publication of the Society and it is published quarterly and circulated to members. This periodical is available to the general public as well, also on the NSC site.

The NSC is a private unincorporated organization. The Society does support Celtic heritage activities in the United States through an affiliated non-profit organization.

The Society maintains a role of arms of its members on the website. Coats of Arms granted to or assumed by members must be in correct heraldic style. Common "generic" family arms are not allowed.
