Novi Petrivtsi (Ukrainian: Нові Петрівці) is a big village just to the north from Kiev.
Next to the village is located famous territory of the former Mezhyhirya Monastery that in 2008-09 was in the epicenter of a big political scandal.
To the south of the village is located a water reservoir of the Kiev Hydro-Accumulating Power Station and the city of Vyshhorod that is adjacent to Kiev.
Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych private residence Mezhyhirya is located near the village.[1][2][3][4]
A training facility of the Internal Troops of Ukraine is also located near the village. It is currently being used to train new recruits for the National Guard of Ukraine.[5]
